What it is
This site explains how applicant tracking systems (ATS) handle resumes, and gives you a free checker for the text of your own. It is for people applying for jobs, including people applying in a new country.
How the guides are written
We prefer sources that explain how the software works over blog claims, and we list the sources at the end of each guide. Where sources disagree, we say so, usually in a margin note. We do not repeat statistics we cannot trace to an original study, which is why you will not find the "75% of resumes are rejected" figure used here as a fact.
What it cannot do
- It cannot tell you how a specific employer's system is set up.
- It cannot promise interviews or job offers.
- It is not affiliated with any ATS vendor, employer or government body.
